We are Dateio – a fintech scale-up with European ambitions that develops its own platform connecting merchants with banks and their clients. We operate in eight markets and are preparing to launch in others. If you've heard of Air Bank's “Odměny” or Česká spořitelna's Moneyback, that's us. We help banks and merchants work smart with card transaction data. Millions of people across Europe use our product – and data is key to everything we do.
About the role:
We want to take our work with data to the next level. We are looking for a strong leader to take charge of our data teams – from BI to analytics to data infrastructure. The main challenge will be to transform our data teams into a strong business partner that not only responds to assignments but also initiates its own initiatives on how to better utilize data in line with our vision and strategy.
What we expect:
Strong managerial experience: we are looking for someone who has experience leading an analytical or data team, ideally for several years. We are not looking for someone to simply "maintain" the team, but someone who can take the entire team to the next level.
Systematic thinking and leadership: you will set up processes, build competencies, and strategically develop the data area.
Strong technical background in data: excellent knowledge of database systems, advanced familiarity with data domain (cloud platforms, DWH systems, orchestration, DataOps/ MLOps, Data visualisation tools, data science), proven record in leading technical team of data engineers or SW developers
Excellent communication skills: clear and structured expression, ability to lead interdisciplinary discussions and listen to others. Fluent in both Czech and English.

What the collaboration looks like
You will work closely with Ondřej Knot, our co-CEO, Ondřej Vychodil, our CCO, Jan Gargulák, our CTO, and Martin Snížek, Head of Product.
Your main responsibility will be lead, manage and develop our data teams.

How the recruitment process works:
