Open position at Billigence

Snowflake Data Engineer

Work schedule
Full-time
Address
Křižíkova 148/34, 186 00 Praha

We're growing — and Snowflake is at the heart of it. Billigence is a Snowflake Elite Partner and we're after data engineers who like getting their hands dirty across the whole stack and want to own real client work. You'll turn manual processes into clean automated solutions on Snowflake — from raw data all the way to outputs people actually trust — working alongside two of the three Snowflake Data Heroes in the country. You're happy talking to tech and non-tech people alike, you follow through on what you start, and you're always up for learning something new and passing it on.

What will you do?

  • Build data pipelines in Snowflake using a layered (medallion) approach — landing → processing → outputs.
  • Develop transformations and models in dbt (SQL & Python) — including tests and incremental strategies.
  • Build Streamlit interfaces so users can upload inputs, run checks, and trigger calculations themselves.
  • Implement automated data validations at each step.
  • Prepare outputs for reporting (Power BI) and exports to downstream systems.
  • Talk to the business and document the solution so the client can run it independently.

About you

  • Strong SQL and hands-on Snowflake experience
  • Solid experience with dbt — modelling, tests, incremental strategies
  • Proven track record building data pipelines end-to-end, from ingestion to reliable outputs
  • A strong feel for data quality and sustainable, maintainable architecture
  • Python and Streamlit
  • Dimensional modelling and BI experience
  • Cortex AI / Snowpark ML, CI/CD — a plus
  • Confident talking to business stakeholders and translating their needs into a working solution
  • Ownership mindset — you drive work forward and can hand a solution over to a client to run independently
  • Fluent Czech and English on a professional level

  • AI-friendly by default – we stay current, experiment with new tools, and treat AI as a genuine work partner
  • Continuous learning and development to keep your skills sharp
  • If you're a keen sportsman, you'll find plenty of company here :)
